ESD Protection Solutions

Littelfuse provides a wide range of products that protect components from ESD threats. ESD threats are extremely fast, low-energy events that can wreak havoc on electronic equipment. Trends in reduced chip protection and harsher end-user environments are requiring the need for enhanced protection solutions. Littelfuse produces varistors, suppressors, indicators, and more so users can find the right protection to ensure the long-term reliable operation of applications.

Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) Diodes

Littelfuse TVS (Transient Voltage Suppression) Diodes are a broad range of circuit protection products designed to protect electronic circuits against transients and overvoltage threats such as EFT (electrically fast transients) and ESD (electro-static discharge). Lightning strikes, inductive load switching, and ESD cause electrical over-stresses associated with the transmission on data lines and electronic circuits. Offered in a variety of surface mount and through-hole circuit board mounting formats, the TVS Diode portfolio includes high peak pulse current and peak pulse power options up to 20kA and 30kW, respectively. Littelfuse TVS Diodes are chosen for the fast response time (low clamping voltage), lower capacitance, and low leakage current. TVS Diodes are available in both unidirectional (unipolar) or bidirectional (bipolar) diodes circuit configurations.

Heat Pumps

Littelfuse provides a broad portfolio of components for heat pumps, including fuses, TVS diodes, gate drivers, and more. The heat pump market is growing quickly, driven by government initiatives to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and rising energy costs. With inverter-driven motors improving system efficiencies, heat pumps can now be used in a wide range of climates. Learn how Littelfuse technologies make heat pumps safer, more reliable, and more energy efficient. Heat pumps can be used in a wide range of climates due to the inverter-driven motors improving system efficiencies. These components are suitable for various applications such as energy management, security systems, HVAC systems, smoke detectors, and IoT-controlled appliances. Littelfuse offers protect, control, and sense technologies to improve buildings' reliability, safety, and energy efficiency.

Intelligent Outlet Solutions

Littelfuse Intelligent Outlet Solutions components feature smart outlets and light dimmers that can be controlled via apps or virtual assistants. The Littelfuse product line includes PICO® II 473 Slo-Blo® Fuses, UltraMOV 14mm Varistors, SJ SCR Switching Thyristors, Thyristor Triacs, IX4340 Gate Drivers, and 650V X2 MOSFETs. The intelligent outlets plug into or replace traditional outlets and allow users to control what is plugged into them through an app or virtual assistant. The smart light dimmers are also remotely controlled. Instead of diverting energy from the light bulb into a resistor, the modern light bulb circuit is switched off many times per second around the fluctuation of household alternating current for efficiency.

Smart Thermostat Solutions

Littelfuse Smart Thermostat Solutions components allow designers to implement Internet of Things (IoT) solutions to boost energy efficiency and monitor energy usage. Littelfuse Smart Thermostat solutions complement other Smart Building features, including safety and security systems.

TVS Silicon Protection Arrays (SPA)

Littelfuse Silicon Protection Array (SPA®) TVS Diodes are designed to protect electronics from very fast and damaging voltage transients, such as lightning and electrostatic discharge (ESD). These diodes offer an ideal protection solution for I/O interfaces and digital and analog signal lines in computer and consumer portable electronics. Littelfuse TVS diodes offer a broader application use and improved impulse protection performance over conventional diodes.

SP3213 0.09pF 12kV Bidirectional TVS Diode Arrays

Littelfuse SP3213 0.09pF 12kV Bidirectional Discrete TVS Diode Arrays offer ultra-low capacitance ESD protection for electronic equipment. The bidirectional arrays have a typical capacitance of 0.09pF to ensure excellent signal integrity on the most challenging consumer electronics interfaces, including USB 3.1, HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort, Thunderbolt, and V-by-One®. Littelfuse SP3213 TVS Diodes can safely absorb repetitive ESD strikes at ±12kV (contact discharge, IEC 61000-4-2) without performance degradation and safely dissipate 2A of 8/20μs surge current (IEC 61000-4-5 2nd edition).
