Analog Devices ADAQ4003 Data Acquisition Solution, Now Shipping from Mouser, Saves 75% Space

May 10, 2021 - Mouser Electronics, Inc., the industry's leading New Product Introduction (NPI) distributor with the widest selection of semiconductors and electronic components, is now stocking the ADAQ4003 µModule® data acquisition solution (DAQ) from Analog Devices, Inc. Utilizing system-in-package (SIP) technology, the ADAQ4003 reduces the development cycle of a precision measurement system by transferring the signal chain design challenge of component selection, optimization, and layout from the designer to the device.

The Analog Devices ADAQ4003, available from Mouser Electronics, combines a low-noise, fully differential analog-to-digital converter (ADC) driver; a stable reference buffer; and a high-speed 18-bit, 2 MSPS successive approximation register (SAR) ADC. The device also incorporates Analog Devices' iPassives® technology, supplying crucial passive components with superior matching and drift characteristics, to minimize temperature dependent error sources.

The ADAQ4003 comes in a 7 mm × 7 mm BGA package, saving up to 75% more board space than multi-component equivalent solutions, enabling smaller-form-factor instruments without sacrificing performance. The serial peripheral interface (SPI)-compatible, serial user interface is compatible with 1.8 V, 2.5 V, 3 V, or 5 V logic, using a separate digital interface voltage (VIO) supply.

With the integration of multiple common signal-processing and conditioning blocks into a single device, the ADAQ4003 reduces end system component count along with development cycle time for systems such as automatic test equipment, machine automation, process controls, medical instrumentation, and digital control loops.
