NXP Semiconductors NHS3152 NTAG® SmartSensor

NXP Semiconductors NHS3152 NTAG® SmartSensor is an IC optimized for realizing therapy adherence monitoring and logging. The NHS3152 includes an embedded NFC interface, a resistive network sensing interface, an internal temperature sensor, and an integrated Power Management Unit (PMU) for versatile control of power consumption. Due to its high level of integration, the NHS3152 NTAG SmartSensor IC supports an effective system solution with a minimal number of external components. The NHS3152 works either battery-powered or NFC-powered.

The embedded Arm® Cortex®-M0+ Processor offers flexibility to the users of this IC to implement a dedicated solution. The NXP Semiconductors NHS3152 contains multiple features, including multiple Power-down modes and a selectable CPU frequency of up to 8MHz, for ultra-low power consumption.

Users can program this NHS3152 with the industry-wide standard solutions for Arm Cortex-M0+ processors.

NTAG SmartSensor Devices

NXP Semiconductors NTAG SmartSensor Devices are single-chip solutions combining NFC smartphone connectivity with autonomous sensing, data processing, and logging. NXP NTAG SmartSensors can easily be added to an application by simply adding an NFC antenna and a battery. These versatile NTAG Devices can also be easily combined with other companion chips like radios or sensor solutions and are designed to work seamlessly with NXP NFC reader ICs. The NTAG SmartSensors communicate via NDEF-formatted data.

NTAG SmartSensor devices are ideal for IoT products. Data collected in the application is transferred via an NFC reader into the cloud for further treatment and analysis. As most smartphones have an NFC interface, data collection and reading are intuitive with dedicated apps on the phone.
