The Type HPBA braking resistor assemblies are designed to increase the braking torque capability of a variable frequency drive. This results in faster and more controlled braking for the drive and increases the braking torque of the drive system. These braking assemblies are manufactured using heavy-gauge galvanized steel with a wired terminal block and provisions for an optional thermostat. TE Type HPBA braking resistor assemblies are built to withstand harsh environments while maintaining a professional design with a wide range of enclosure options. These resistors are available in several combinations of horsepower, input voltage, and duty cycle.
