Mouser-Sponsored Vasser Sullivan Lexus Racing Team Takes On IMSA Long Beach Circuit
April 8, 2025—Mouser Electronics, Inc., the New Product Introduction (NPI) leader™ empowering innovation, proudly sponsors the Vasser Sullivan Lexus Racing team and will be supporting them for the third race of the 2025 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season. After exciting races at Daytona International Speedway and the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, the team is ready to take on the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach in California on April 12.
The 1.968-mile, 11-turn Long Beach Street Circuit encircles the Long Beach Convention Center and runs down scenic Shoreline Drive. The track offers numerous overtaking opportunities, including the hairpin first turn, which leads to the frontstretch. The Vasser Sullivan Lexus Racing team captured first-place wins at Long Beach in the last two years, with double podium wins in 2023 and 2022. The team will also be working to build on its momentum coming off a second-place win in the GTD class in Sebring.
For the 2025 Grand Prix of Long Beach, the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship features only the GTD class. Drivers Jack Hawksworth and Parker Thompson will be co-driving the No. 12 Lexus entry, while Aaron Telitz and Frankie Montecalvo will team up in the No. 89 entry. The Vasser Sullivan Lexus Racing Team introduced the No. 89 car at Long Beach last year, commemorating 1989, the year Lexus made its debut in the U.S. market.
Mouser and valued manufacturer partner Molex co-sponsor the Vasser Sullivan Lexus Racing team, seeing the opportunity as an inventive way to communicate its performance-driven business model and promote the newest technologies.
