Mouser-Sponsored Vasser Sullivan Lexus Racing Team Nears IMSA Season-End at the Racing Capital of The World
September 13, 2023 – Mouser Electronics, Inc., the industry's leading New Product Introduction (NPI) distributor with the widest selection of semiconductors and electronic components™, is ready to cheer on the Vasser Sullivan Lexus Racing team as they head to the Racing Capital of The World, Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS), in Indianapolis, IN, for the Battle on the Bricks on September 17.
The Vasser Sullivan Lexus Racing team is hoping for a strong finish in the season's penultimate race. The full-time driver lineups for Vasser Sullivan Racing include Jack Hawksworth and Ben Barnicoat in the No. 14 Lexus RC F GT3 in the GTD PRO class, with Aaron Telitz and Frankie Montecalvo co-driving the No. 12 Lexus entry in the GTD class.
The Vasser Sullivan Lexus Racing team is currently in first place in the GTD PRO class standings with 3,165 points and third place in the GTD class standings with 2,553 points.
The Indianapolis Motor Speedway course is 2.439 miles long and has 14 turns. This will be the first time IMSA is racing at IMS since the 2014 season (the first ever IMSA race held there was in 2012). Indianapolis Motor Speedway is steeped in history, built initially using hand-laid bricks in 1909, leading to its nickname, "The Brickyard." The Indianapolis Motor Speedway is the world's third oldest permanent automobile racetrack and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1987, the only such site affiliated with automotive racing history.
