Mouser-Backed DS PENSKE Formula E Racing Team Readies for Mexico City E-Prix

January 7, 2025 - Mouser Electronics, Inc., the New Product Introduction (NPI) leader™ empowering innovation, is ready to cheer on the DS PENSKE Formula E racing team as they head to Mexico City, Mexico, for round 2 of the 2024/2025 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship racing season. The Hankook Mexico City E-Prix will take place on January 11, 2025.

The DS PENSKE Formula E racing team is led by two-time Formula E Champion Jean-Éric Vergne and Maximilian Günther as they pilot the new GEN3 Evo car. The GEN3 Evo is faster, stronger, and more agile than its predecessors and features an aggressive new body kit designed to be stronger, more robust and more aerodynamic. It also allows for all-wheel drive, a first for a Formula E car.

The Mexico City course is one of the fastest tracks on the calendar. As a fan favorite, the track always makes use of the legendary Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez circuit. Starting on the traditional start/finish straight, the Formula E grid will shoot down into turn one. After a long and fast Turn 2, the pack will make their way around Turn 3, which breaks off left into a four-turn sequence. Looping back around a hairpin, Turns 6 and 7 get technical, with a straight and sharp right-hand bend leading into a chicane complex for a quick blast into the legendary Foro Sol stadium section. Leaving the stadium, the drivers will then jostle for position out of the iconic Peraltada curve in the run to the finish line.

Mouser is supporting the DS PENSKE team for the globe-trekking 2024/2025 season in collaboration with TTI, Inc. and valued manufacturers Molex and KYOCERA AVX. Mouser and Molex have been partnering to sponsor Formula E racing since 2015.
