Texas Instruments TPS6108x Integrated Switch & Power Diodes
Texas Instruments TPS6108x Integrated Switch & Power Diodes feature a 1.2MHz/600kHz fixed-frequency boost regulator designed for high integration. The device combines a power switch, an I/O isolation switch, and a power diode. The isolation switch opens up to disconnect the output from the input when a short-circuit condition is detected. This feature results in the IC and input source protection from being shorted to ground, except VIN. Leakage current is prevented when the isolation switch disconnects the output from the input during a shutdown. Additional protection features include 0.5A/1.3A peak-to-peak overcurrent protection, programmable soft-start (SS), over-voltage protection (OVP), thermal shutdown, and under-voltage lockout (UVLO). The device is powered by a single Li-ion battery, triple NiMH, and regulated 5V, such as USB output. The Texas Instruments TPS6108x provides the supply voltages of OLED, TFT-LCD bias, 12V, and 24V power rails. The output can be boosted up to 27V, and can also be configured as a current source to power up to seven WLEDs in flashlight applications.Features
