Texas Instruments TLC6C57xx-Q1 Automotive RGB LED Drivers

Texas Instruments TLC6C57xx-Q1 Automotive RGB LED Drivers offer 16- and 24-channels of constant current with a supplied maximum of 50mA output current set by an external resistor. Features include a 7-bit dot correction (DC) for each channel with two ranges for each output. The device also has an 8-bit brightness control for the outputs of each color group. The TLC6C57xx-Q1 device can do tests on the LEDs, supplying protection and diagnostic features. These features include LED-Open Detection (LOD), LED-Short Detection (LSD), and Output Short-to-GND Detection (OSD).

An integrated PWM grayscale generator adjusts global grayscale mode using 12-Bit, 10-Bit, and 8-Bit controls. A programmable slew rate control has two positions for adjustment, resulting in a large decrease in system noise. An interval between the changes of output level from one LED group to a different one aids in the decrease of starting electrical current. The TLC6C57xx-Q1 LED drivers are able to sense system faults, reaching an innovative level of system-level safety. The TLC6C57xx-Q1 devices are AEC-Q100 qualified for automotive applications.
