Texas Instruments AMC0x36/AMC0x36-Q1 Delta-Sigma Modulators

Texas Instruments AMC0x36/AMC0x36-Q1 Precision Delta-Sigma (ΔΣ) Modulators are galvanically isolated and have a ±1V, high impedance input and external clock. The high-impedance input is optimized for connection to high-impedance resistive dividers or other voltage signal sources with high output resistance.

The isolation barrier separates systems operating on different common-mode voltage levels. It is highly resistant to magnetic interference and is certified to provide basic isolation up to 3kVRMS (D package) (60s) and reinforced isolation up to 5kVRMS (DWV package).

The Texas Instruments AMC0x36/AMC0x36-Q1 output bitstream is synchronized to an external clock. Combined with a sinc3, OSR 256 filter, the device achieves 14.8 effective bits of resolution or 89dB of dynamic range at a sample rate of 39kSPS. The AMC0x36/AMC0x36-Q1 devices come in 8-pin, wide- and narrow-body SOIC packages and are fully specified over the temperature range from –40°C to +125°C. The AMC0x36-Q1 devices are AEC-Q100 qualified for automotive applications.
