TE Connectivity Side-Entry Tinel Lock Rings

TE Connectivity's (TE) Side-Entry Tinel-Lock Rings are heat-recoverable metal braid terminators. They provide a method of joining a gross cable or harness shield to a user-built connector backshell or another termination device without prepositioning the ring on the harness (side entry). The ring can be easily removed. TE Side-Entry Tinel-Lock Rings offer a low profile with a buckle-free termination. The rings can withstand temperatures up to 200°C.

Features

  • Low-profile, buckle-free termination provides a smooth outer surface
  • Simple one-piece construction with interlocking ends
  • Uniform recovery force generated by the shape-memory ring gives the termination excellent mechanical and electrical properties
  • Withstands temperatures up to 200°C
  • Rings can be installed in seconds using either a resistance heater or a simple heat gun
  • Thermochromic paint applied to the ring changes color to indicate when the ring has been heated to full recovery
