TE Connectivity CIRH Circular Connectors

TE Connectivity's (TE) Connectors for Industrial Range (CIR) (H - halogen-free) are bayonet lock connectors based on products covered by the American MilC-5015 and German VG95234 specifications. TE's CIRH Circular Connectors are used extensively in the mass transportation, entertainment, and general industrial markets. CIRH connectors are interchangeable with all corresponding types and feature contact arrangements from Mil-STD-1651. An audible snap indicates positive coupling. The alignment of three colored dots on the receptacle and on the coupling nut of the plug connector also indicates positive coupling. CIRH connectors feature stainless steel anti-wear pins at the critical point of the receptacle coupling ramps. These anti-wear pins enhance service life in applications where the connectors are likely to experience severe vibration or repeated mating. CIRH connectors meet safety and environment requirements with standard, low fire hazard/halogen free rubber insulators.

These rubber insulators are independently tested and are shown to conform with the requirements of European specification EN 45545-2 (HL3, R22/R23), French specification NF F 16-101 classification 12 F1, and British specification BS 6853 app. A clause A.9 and app. B clause B.5.1. The connector shells can also be supplied with cadmium free plating finishes.

These connectors provide protection against water and dust ingress with a dynamic seal ring under the coupling nut and an individual wire seal grommet at the rear of the connector. A wavy washer assembly, also under the coupling nut and a comprehensive range of back shells and accessories, ensures excellent continuity and shielding characteristics between mated connectors where the effects of EMI and RFI must be eliminated.
