MEDER electronic MK08 & MK25 Reed Sensors
MEDER electronic MK08 and MK25 Reed Sensors are intrinsically safe and are ATEX-approved as proximity sensors. The MK08 proximity sensors are magnetically operated reed switches supplied with oil-resistant cable. The sensor should be mounted on a fixed surface with the actuating magnet on the moving surface. With the MK25's non-contact switching and EX approval, the series provides a safe way for switching in explosive environments. Simple mounting takes place with standard drilling in a steel plate up to 4mm. Typical applications for these MEDER sensors include the petrochemical and mining industries, filling stations, hazardous areas, industrial appliances, selector or mode switches in machinery, tank systems, and applications with a difficult environment.
