Renesas Electronics Industrial Ether Connectable IoT Sensor Hub

Renesas Electronics Industrial Ether Connectable IoT Sensor Hub is a solution that utilizes Renesas' RZ/N1S Microprocessor (MPU), power products, and sensors. This solution can collect data from sensors connected to RZ/N1S MPU and send it to a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) that complies with specific industrial ether protocols. The sensors can be connected by CAN, RS-485, and I²C interfaces. The RZ/N1S MPU includes Arm^® Cortex^®-A7 and Arm Cortex-M3 dual CPU cores. The MPU can implement application software on Arm Cortex-A7 core and communication software on the Arm Cortex-M3 core separately.

Features

Sends data to a PLC and/or controllers that comply with industrial ether protocols:
- EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP, PROFINET, Modbus-TCP, and OPC UA are all applicable for the solution, as well as IO-Link
Sensors can be connected by several interfaces:
- CAN, RS-485, and I²C

The RZ/N1S MPU includes dual CPU cores:
- Implementing communication software on the Arm Cortex-M3 core
- Implementing application software on Arm Cortex-A7 core
