Microchip Technology MTCH9010 Liquid Detectors
Microchip Technology MTCH9010 Liquid Detectors offer digital and raw data output as a flexible way to detect liquid presence on different sensors. The detectors support a wide range of sensor shapes and sizes. The appropriate MTCH9010 Liquid Detector allows the system to run either the capacitive or conductive liquid presence detection method.
Capacitive sensing: The detection is done without the sensing electrode being in direct contact with the liquid, making it very robust.
Conductive sensing: The sensing nodes are in contact with the liquid but are engineered to mitigate the effect of corrosion on the nodes.
The Microchip MTHC9010 is self-monitoring and failsafe. It is equipped with a heartbeat signal so the host MCU or system knows the device is functioning.
