Atmel / Microchip Zero Touch Provisioning Kit Version B
Atmel / Microchip Zero Touch Provisioning Kit Version B is designed to develop IoT devices in compliance with the Amazon Web Services (AWS) security regulations. The AWS security regulations state that a device must use mutual authentication with a remote server to be authorized on the AWS cloud. The zero touch provisioning kit incorporates Microchip ATECC508-MAHAW or ATECC508ASSHAW CryptoAuthentication™ devices to securely connect with the AWS IoT service. This kit leaves the handling of the certificate and private key manipulation to Microchip secure provisioning factories and keeps credentials away from software and users.
The Zero Touch Provisioning Kit Version B has an easier onboarding process that generates certificates and provisions them into the CryptoAuthentication device. This is done using Python scripts. The Zero Touch Provisioning Kit version B also provides access to a CloudFormation script to generate a web UI reflecting the I/O of the kit. This kit includes a Cortex®-M4 ATSAMG55 and Wi-Fi™ ATWINC1500 using FreeRTOS and the ATWINC1500 integrated Transport Level Security (TLS) stack.
