Infineon Technologies PSOC™ 4100T Plus Microcontrollers

Infineon Technologies PSOC™ 4100T Plus Microcontrollers merge analog and digital blocks with high-performance Multi-Sense technology, which features 5th-generation CAPSENSE™, inductive sensing, and liquid-level sensing for advanced sensing solutions. The Arm® Cortex®-M0+ MCUs offer a significant upgrade to the PSOC 4 family, delivering advanced HMI capabilities via Multi-Sense, enhanced ESD protection, and improved clock accuracy.

The Infineon PSOC 4100T Plus microcontrollers integrate advanced inductive sensing capabilities, leveraging a differential and ratio-metric sensing architecture that supplies flexibility regarding sensor inductance and operating frequency. The PSOC 4100T Plus also features a liquid-level sensing technology that functions without needing direct contact with the liquid, making it an ideal solution for removable tanks. This technology can also detect different liquids while rejecting foam and residue, improving its overall reliability and accuracy.

Incorporated with SAR ADC, MCU peripherals, and Multi-Sense, high memory options make the PSOC 4100T Plus an ideal MCU for system control and HMI applications.

CAPSENSE Touch Sensing Technology
The 5th generation CAPSENSE touch-sensing technology facilitates power- and space-saving designs, making it an ideal solution for wearables and other battery-powered smart device mode operation. The “always-on” sensing technology offers extremely low power consumption in active and standby modes, enabling a game-changing capability that helps extend battery life.

The 5th generation CAPSENSE technology enhances signal-to-noise (SNR) ratio performance by 10 times than earlier generations with a remarkable ratio-metric sensing methodology - enabling smaller sensors for smaller factor designs, adding support for Glove touch, improved proximity detection and gesture control, intuitive sensing such as liquid level detection, touch sensing over metallic surface, and superior noise immunity and smooth design experience in challenging environmental conditions. CAPSENSE maintains touch accuracy in wet conditions, allowing for fully waterproof touch buttons.
