Infineon Technologies OPTIREG™ Mid-Range+ SBC Family
Infineon Technologies OPTIREG™ Mid-Range+ SBC Family are compact monolithic ICs in a VQFN-48 (7mm x 7mm) power package. Infineon Technologies OPTIREG is designed for automotive CAN-LIN applications, serving as a microcontroller power source and LIN/CAN bus interface. The System Basis Chip (SBC) integrates essential features, including a 3.3V LDO for the microcontroller, a 5V LDO with off-board protection for sensors, a 3.3V/1.8V regulator for external PNP transistors, HS-CAN and LIN transceivers for data transmission, high-side switches with protective functions, and a 16-bit SPI for control and monitoring. The devices include a configurable watchdog, three Fail Outputs, and undervoltage reset.

- Main regulator with 3.3V up to 250mA (5V variant available)
- Auxiliary regulator (5V up to 100mA) with off-board usage protection
- One high-speed CAN transceiver supporting FD communication up to 5Mbit/s according to ISO 11898-2:2016 and SAE J2284 (Partial Networking option available)
- Voltage regulator (3.3V or 1.8V selectable) with external PNP transistor configurable for off-board usage or load sharing
- 2 LIN transceivers supporting LIN 2.2/ISO 17987-4/SAE J2602
- Four high-side outputs 7Ω typ., 2 HV GPIOs, 3 HV wake inputs
- Integrated fail-safe and supervision functions, e.g., fail-safe, watchdog, interrupt- and reset outputs
- 16-bit SPI for configuration and diagnostics
