Futaba EL Series OLEDs
Futaba EL Series Organic Light-Emitting Diodes (OLED) are created by stacking thin film layers made from organic materials between two electrodes on a transparent substrate. The EL Series OLEDs use white light emission formed by the two-color combination of blue and orange light-emitting materials. Additionally, the color OLEDs combine white organic LED devices, which results in a higher brightness and longer life span using the color filter method. The EL Series OLEDs are self-luminous, eliminating the need for back-lighting and making the displays thinner and lighter. The response speed of the OLEDs does not change in low or high temperatures. The power consumption used depends on the lighting rate, which is the number of pixels that are ON. The Futaba EL Series Organic Light-Emitting Diodes are ideal for wearables, communication equipment, activity monitors, and automotive instrument panel applications.
