Amphenol Advanced Sensors T3400 A2L Refrigerant Detection Sensors & Eval Kit

Amphenol Advanced Sensors T3400 A2L Refrigerant Detection Sensors and Eval Kit can identify refrigerant gas leaks by assessing the thermal conductivity of a specific gas mixture. During refrigerant discharge, the changes in the thermal conductivity of the gas mixture can be measured by the micro Thermal-Conductivity Detector (TCD) sensing element. The thermal-conductivity-based detection offers the benefits of superior long-term reliability and resilience in harsh operating environments. The T3400 and T3401 refrigerant leak detection sensors effectively identify the R32 refrigerant gas and the R454B refrigerant gas leakage, respectively. The T3400 refrigerant leak detection sensor features accurate, stable, and repeatable measurement capabilities. These sensors are ideal for residential and commercial air conditioning systems, heat pumps, and refrigeration equipment.

T3400 & T3401 Installation

T3400 and T3401 refrigerant leak detection sensors must be exposed to measured air at all times. The location must be chosen to maximize air exchange, and dead spaces must be avoided. Preferably, the vent in the module should face downward. If this is not possible, it should be vertical. It should never face upward to prevent the accumulation of dirt and water.
