The TE Connectivity EEPROM Embedded Smart Connector, now at Mouser, integrates an AT21CS11 1Kb serial EEPROM memory IC from Microchip Technology directly within the connector to support automatic model recognition, reduce manual setup steps, and help manage increasing product variation. The connector's integrated memory intelligence also enables local storage and retrieval of operating information and user-related data without a separate memory board, reducing PCB space requirements and overall design complexity.
The EEPROM-embedded smart connector is designed for long-term durability and mounts directly onto the PCB to improve robustness and vibration resistance.
