EPCOS / TDK B594 Leaded Disk AEC-Q200 PTC Thermistors
EPCOS / TDK B594 Leaded Disk AEC-Q200 PTC Thermistors can replace high-power fixed resistors for capacitor charging and feature overcurrent and short-circuit protection, and inrush current limiting. These inrush current limiters have the advantage of intrinsic safety and are not damaged when directly connected to Vmax, even without additional current limitations. For example, if a short circuit should occur within a device when it is switched on, the component very quickly limits the current to non-critical values. Typical applications include converters and power supplies for industrial and household electronics. The series is also ideal for e-mobility, including onboard charging circuits and the charging and discharging of DC link capacitors in the drives of hybrid and electric vehicles. The B594 series of leaded disk components offer rated voltages of between 260VAC and 560VAC. Depending on the type, the rated resistances are between 25Ω and 1100Ω. These protection devices have been approved in accordance with UL, IECQ, and VDE. The components are RoHS compliant.Features
