Fastener Applications in Commercial ESS

PEM Fastener Applications in Commercial Energy Storage Systems (ESS) include fasteners for every component of a battery ESS. PEM fasteners are IP-rated for ingress protection and fully tested to protect electric vehicle (EV) components from the elements. The fasteners expand and contract to keep joints sealed after thermal expansion. PEM mechanical bolted joints are easy to disassemble and reassemble. Reliable current-conducting joints join busbars, handling high current loads while maintaining low electrical resistance. PEM fasteners are designed to join lighter-weight, dissimilar metals.

SMTPR Reelfast® Fastener

PEM SMTPR Reelfast® Fastener is designed to mount onto PC boards in the same way as other surface mount components. This reduces the risk of PC board damage and eliminates costly and time-intensive secondary operations. This fastener provides an economical and reliable method for fastening hardware to PC boards. The SMTPR reelfast fastener features an efficient pick-and-place installation that reduces scrap, handling, and the risk of board damage. This fastener has excellent pullout and torque-out forces and is available in several varieties, including panel fasteners, spacers, nuts, and right-angle styles. The SMTPR reelfast fastener is ideal for PC board applications used in aerospace and defense electronics.
