Diodes Incorporated AP22815/AP22615 Power Distribution Switches
Diodes Incorporated AP22815/AP22615 Power Distribution Switches with output overvoltage protection (OVP) are designed for USB and other hot-swap applications. The AP22815/AP22615 features output overvoltage protection, reverse current blocking, overcurrent, overtemperature, and short-circuit protection. Additional features include a controlled rise time and under-voltage lockout functionality. The AP22815 has a fixed current-limit feature, while the AP22615 has an adjustable current-limit feature. The current-limit feature supports USB PD3.0 fast role swap function, with the output voltage offering a recovery voltage range within 110µs throughout an event. This feature is optimized for applications that require precision current limiting support. The devices comply with USB standards with both polarities of enable input available. A fast short-circuit and output overvoltage response time provide improved overall system performance.
The TSOT25 and TSOT26 packages provide a complete protection solution for applications that are subject to substantial capacitive loads with the possibility of a short circuit. The AP22815 is available in standard green TSOT25 packages, while the AP22615 is available in standard green TSOT26 packages, with both being RoHS compliant.
