Automotive Common Mode Filters & Chokes

TDK Automotive Common Mode Filters and Chokes are suitable for use in high-speed signal and power line applications, including automotive bus systems such as CAN, FlexRay, and Ethernet. These common mode chokes are designed especially for fully-automated manufacturing processes. To meet the need for high-density packaging, TDK constantly strives to reduce the overall size and profile of products by putting their advanced material and multilayer processing technologies to full use.

ACT32P Common Mode Filter

TDK ACT32P Common Mode Filter is AEC-Q200 compliant and offers an operating temperature range from -55°C to +150°C. This filter is ideal for automotive power lines and power CMC applications. It has 1kΩ typical common-mode impedance at 100MHz, 5.9μH common-mode inductance, 800mA rated current, and 80VDC rated voltage. Other features include 10MΩ minimum insulation resistance and 150mΩ maximum DC resistance. TDK ACT32P Common Mode Filter is halogen and lead free as well as RoHS compliant.

ACT Common Mode Filters & Chokes

TDK ACT Common Mode Filters and Chokes are designed to withstand high temperatures of up to 125°C or 150°C. These TDK filters and chokes are used for vehicular devices that require compatibility with high temperatures. The ACT1210 series is compact with characteristics equivalent to ACT45B filters. Applications for ACT45B include CAN buses, modems, ISDNs, and more. Applications for both the ACT1210 and ACT1210R include CAN bus and FlexRay systems. The ACT1210G filter conforms to the standards of the OPEN Alliance (one-pair Ethernet) for 1000BASE-T1. The ACT1210E common mode filter is 3.2mm x 2.5mm x 2.5mm in size and is designed for automotive Ethernet 10BASE-T1S. The ACT32P series is compliant with AEC-Q200 qualifications and ideal for power CMC applications.

Inductors

TDK Inductors are manufactured using state-of-the-art multilayer processing technologies, wire-winding technology, or thin-film technologies. TDK's unique multilayer processing technology provides higher inductance and Q characteristics as well as further miniaturization. Würth Elektronik WE-CMB Common Mode Power Line Inductors (Chokes) feature a compact design that delivers high suppression of asymmetric interferences, even at low-frequency ranges. In addition, these inductors provide broadband screening due to a low capacitance winding technique. Würth Elektronik WE-CMB Common Mode, Power Line Inductors, are ideal for power electronics and suppressing common-mode noises. Parasitics can have a significant effect on the noise attenuation and current rating of a common mode filter. Würth designed the WE-CMB series for minimal parasitic effects over its useful frequency bandwidth so it does what it is designed to do - get rid of the noise.
