TB67Sx Stepper Motor Drivers

Toshiba TB67Sx Stepper Motor Drivers feature Active Gain Control (AGC) technology that dynamically boosts the stepper motor driving current, overcoming heavy torque conditions and resuming normal in real-time and in open loop designs. The AGC technology saves significant power in stepper motor control. This feature also reduces or eliminates the complex and expensive closed-loop designs. These stepper motor drivers are also equipped with an Advanced Current Detection System (ACDS) sense resistor-less feature that saves additional board space and BOM. The TB67Sx are specified as 5.0A, 4.5A, 2.0A, and 3.0A, respectively with 10V to 42V motor operating voltage. The components also feature 32-step and 128-step micro-stepping capability, making them ideal for a wide range of industrial precision motor control applications.

TB67S Stepping Motor Driver ICs

Toshiba TB67S Stepping Motor Driver ICs are available in two-phase unipolar and bipolar variants. These motor drivers integrate a silicon monolithic IC using the BiCD process. The TB67S stepping motor driver ICs feature Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) controlled constant-current drive. These surface-mount or through-hole driver ICs operate at a temperature range of -20°C to +85°C.

TB67S128FTG Stepper Motor Driver

Toshiba TB67S128FTG Stepper Motor Driver is a two-phase bipolar clock-in and serial-controlled stepping motor driver using a PWM chopper. This motor driver IC is capable of controlling one bipolar stepping motor. The TB67S128FTG stepper motor allows full, half, quarter, 1/8, 1/16, 1/32, 1/64, and 1/128 step operations. Features include built-in anti-stall architecture, built-in sense resistor less current control architecture, high voltage and current, and a built-in VCC regulator for an internal circuit.

Stepping Motor Driver ICs

Toshiba offers stepper motor driver ICs for precision applications commonly found in printers, scanners, actuators, automations, robotics, sorting machines, and many other industrial applications. Toshiba’s technologies include Active Gain Control (AGC), which automatically adjusts the current on demand with respect to the load, minimizing the power loss. The Advanced Dynamic Mixed Decay (ADMD) optimizes the current switching, and the Advanced Microstepping enhances the driving precision with minimum CPU resource. Toshiba stepper motor drivers cover 1.8V to 50V and 0.8A to 5A operation and are offered in a variety of package options.
