Vishay/BCcomponents 157 PUM - 159 PUL Series/Snap-In Cans


BCcomponents is intending to change the design of the
Aluminum cans for snap-in and Din electrolytic capacitors.
The current bottom vent will be changed to a side vent.
This change will enable standardization to designs with
extended cathode.  The implementation date is 2/27/2007.

Also, BCcomponents is changing the electrolytes used in mid
volt Range of 157 PUM-SI and 159 PUL-SI.  With this change
they will introduce a glycol based electrolyte replacing
the existing electrolyte system.  This change will improve
ESR/Z at room and elevated temperatures and it will use
more environmentally friendly materials.
