Safety Capacitors and Resistors

Vishay Safety Capacitors and Resistors include safety-rated RFI capacitors and fusible resistors that meet the safety requirements of UL1412. Vishay Safety Capacitors consist of ceramic, MLCC, and film technologies offering a wide range of capacitance options. Vishay Safety Capacitors and Resistors include metal film fusible resistors with high surge handling capability and wirewound resistors that ensure safe and silent fusing operation in overload conditions.

Ceramic Disc Safety Capacitors

Vishay Ceramic Disc Safety Capacitors include X1/Y1 and X1/Y2 rated ceramic caps with IEC, UIL, CAS, and CQC certificates. X1/Y2 rated ceramic caps feature a 10pF to 12nF capacitance range. X1/Y1 rated caps feature a 10pF to 20nF capacitance range. Vishay Ceramic Disc Safety Capacitors include AEC-Q200 rated devices.

Safety-Rated RFI Capacitors

Vishay Safety-Rated RFI Capacitors include film, ceramic disc, and MLCC devices. EMI suppression film capacitors offer high voltage ratings to 480VAC for across-the-line applications. High-reliability AC line-rated ceramic disc capacitors are available in reduced sizes and automotive-grade versions, with the "biased 85/85" accelerated life test qualification. Vishay Surface-mount MLCCs for safety-certified applications are available with C0G (NP0) and X7R dielectrics while meeting the IEC 60384-14 minimum 4mm creepage standard.

VY2 Series AC Line Rated Disc Capacitors

Vishay / BC Components VY2 Series AC Line Rated Disc Capacitors offer a capacitance range of 10pF to 0.01µF and minimum insulation resistance (IR) of 10,000MΩ. The VY2 Series AC Line Rated Disc Capacitors from Vishay/BC Components also offer high reliability and are RoHS compliant. VY2 series capacitors have a ceramic disc, both sides of which are silver-plated.
