LQW Wirewound Type Inductors

Murata Electronics LQW Wirewound Type Inductors feature a high Q value, giving them ideal attenuation characteristics inside the passband of filters. These devices support large currents, and two types of structures are available. The comprehensive lineup includes AEC-Q200-qualified variants. Typical applications for Murata LQW Wirewound Type Inductors include RF matching circuits requiring Q value characteristics, choke circuits that support high current levels, and antenna matching circuits.

LQW2B Wire Wound Inductors

Murata LQW2B are Wire Wound RF Inductors featuring a high Q value. The excellent attenuation characteristics of this series make them ideally suited for matching circuits of RF units as well as matching applications for antennas. Murata Electronics LQW2B Wire Wound Inductors have low Rdc characteristics that also make them suitable for use in choke circuits with high current levels.

Audio Line Noise Suppression for Smartphones

Murata examines how to maintain audio quality while suppressing noise in the internal audio circuits of smartphones. Smartphone audio quality differs by manufacturer as illustrated by the Earphone Audio Distortion Diagram (below), which shows the results of measuring audio distortion (THD + N). Common ferrite beads were used for noise suppression in the internal audio circuits of smartphones with poor THD + N results, but the models that emphasized audio quality used Murata's NFZ series. As the shift toward high-resolution audio continues to advance not only in specialized audio equipment but also in smartphones, audio filters that consider the impact on audio quality will become increasingly important.
