Digital-to-Analog Converters (DACs)

Microchip Digital-to-Analog Converters (DACs) meet precision-controlled conversion applications' low-power needs. This DAC portfolio supports 8-, 10- and 12-bit resolution with one to four channels. Microchip's unique and integrated non-volatile memory option allows for saving configuration at power down, reducing microcontroller overhead. This simplifies system design. Several Microchip Digital-to-Analog Converters offer high-precision control at 1LSb of Integral Nonlinearity (INL), improving overall static and dynamic performance. Small form factor SOT-23 and DFN (2X2) packages support space-constrained designs.

MCP4706, MCP4716, & MCP4726 Single-Channel DACs

Microchip Technology MCP4706, MCP4716, and MCP4726 Single-Channel DACs (Digital-to-Analog converters) feature buffered 8-, 10-, and 12-bit voltage output options and integrated EEPROM. The MCP4706, MCP4716, and MCP4726 DACs are ideal for consumer and industrial applications, including wireless microphones and mp3-player accessories as well as motor control, flow measurement, temperature control, and light control. Integrated EEPROM enables DAC settings to be recalled at power up for added system flexibility. The choice of 8-, 10- or 12-bit resolution provides flexibility with regard to design requirements and cost. These devices also provide low power consumption of 210mA for extended battery life.
