markings. The changes with clarify the T498 and T499 laser
marking, including the polarity indicator. The improvements will
result in sharper contrast which will improve the end customer_s
component identification process.

The effective date for laser marking change in the Matamoros

MLCC Replacement Solutions

KEMET KOCAP Tantalum Polymer Capacitors are ideal for board space savings, a piezo noise-free environment, high capacitance, long stable life performance, and/or lower profile requirements. Tantalum polymer capacitors are selected over other capacitor technologies when application voltages are less than 50V, capacitance needs are between 1µF to 1mF, and application frequencies are below 1MHz. Since replacing ceramic capacitors with tantalum polymer capacitors is not typically one-for-one, designers need to consider several design requirements as outlined in the schematic below.

High-Temperature Capacitors

KEMET High-Temperature Capacitors provide capacitance solutions for applications up to 260°C and voltages up to 20kV. Product applications include harsh environments such as down-hole (oil exploration), automotive (under the hood), defense, and aerospace. KEMET's vast portfolio of high-temperature capacitors offers significant reliability and performance advantages when operating temperatures are greater than 125°C.

Solid Tantalum Capacitors

T499 High Temperature SMT Tantalum Capacitors

KEMET T499 High-Temperature SMT Tantalum Capacitors feature solid-state structures capable of +125°C applications with a maximum temperature rating of +175°C. KEMET T499 SMT Capacitors include capacitance values of 0.15µF to 220µF with AEC-Q200 compliance, voltage ratings of 6V to 50V, 5 standard EIA case sizes with RoHS-compliant terminations, 100% surge current testing, and a self-healing mechanism.
