Bourns BVRA Automotive-Grade Multilayered Varistors are AEC-Q200 qualified and offer working voltages from 5.5VDC to 100VDC in several SMD package sizes: 0402, 0603, 0805, 1206, 1210, and 1812. These varistors are designed specifically for use in automotive circuits that require surge protection and are typically applied to protect integrated circuits and other components at the circuit board level. Additional features include a compact, surface-mount design, quick response time, and high transient energy absorption due to improved energy volume distribution and power dissipation. Bourns BVRA Automotive-Grade Multilayered Varistors are suitable for power supplies, entertainment electronics, and CAN-, LIN-, and FlexRay-based modules.

BVRA1210 Automotive-Grade Low-Voltage Varistors

Bourns BVRA1210 Automotive-Grade Low-Voltage Varistors feature a working voltage range of 11VDC to 100VDC and a current range of 200A to 500A in an EIA 1210 package size. The modules are specifically designed for use in automotive circuits requiring surge protection, and the improved energy volume distribution and power dissipation provide excellent transient energy absorption. These compact, surface-mount varistors are AEC-Q200 and RoHS compliant, lead free, and meet the IEC 61000-4-5 standard. Bourns BVRA1210 Automotive-Grade Low-Voltage Varistors offer a quick response time of <1ns and operate in a -40°C to +125°C temperature range. Ideal applications include power supplies, entertainment electronics, and motor/inductive load transient suppression.
