Sensor Solutions

Analog Devices (ADI) sensor solutions include MEMS accelerometers, MEMS gyroscopes, MEMS inertial measurement units (IMUs), optical sensors, anisotropic magnetoresistive (AMR) sensors, temperature sensors, and Hall effect sensors. The high-performance discrete components and plug-in-ready solutions efficiently and reliably address complex design requirements.

Digital Temperature Sensors

Analog Devices provides a broad portfolio of digital temperature sensors with I²C, SPI, and mark space interfaces. The portfolio includes digital temperature sensors with integrated D/A converters, A/D converters, references, and limit alarm registers to meet the requirements of more intricate system design applications. All of the digital temperature sensors ADI offers are suitable for a wide range of applications. Some of these applications include scientific, medical, aerospace, test & measurement equipment, and industrial automation.

ADT7320/ADT7420 Digital Temperature Sensors

Analog Devices Inc. ADT7320/ADT7420 Digital Temperature Sensors are ±0.25°C accurate SPI/I²C digital temperature sensors that provide excellent performance over a -40°C to +150°C temperature range. The ADT7320/ADT7420 Digital Sensors include an internal band gap reference, a temperature sensor, and a 16-bit ADC to monitor and digitize the temperature to a resolution of 0.0078°C. Using the SPI/I2C serial interface, designers can change the default ADC resolution set at 13 bits (0.0625°C) to meet their application requirements. Operating at 3.3V, the ADT7320/ADT7420 sensors are guaranteed to operate over the 2.7V to 5.5V supply voltage range with a typical supply current of 210μA. The ADT7320/ADT7420 sensors include a shutdown mode that powers down the device and delivers a typical shutdown current of 2μA at 3.3V. The Analog Devices ADT7320/ADT7420's high accuracy makes the sensors ideal for instrumentation, industrial, and medical applications.

Analog Temperature Sensors

Analog Devices analog temperature sensors deliver current or voltage output proportional to the absolute temperature with an accuracy rating of up to ±1°C. The analog temperature sensors eliminate the need for external calibration with minimal signal conditioning/conversion circuitry. ADI offers an expansive portfolio of analog output temperature sensors that are suitable for a broad range of applications. To meet diverse design requirements, the ADI temperature sensors are available in multiple package options.
